Who doesn't love an instruction manual that will change your life?


I am, as are many people on this planet, always trying to grow, to be the best person I can be and to find new LIFE GEMS and ways to do that. One of the biggest game changers for me has been the power of gratitude. I am an absolute advocate for writing out past, present and future gratitude. This book, The Magic, by Author Rhonda Byrne, best known for her work 'The Secret', is a 30 day program of gratitude. It is amazing. A walk through different practices, simple things that you can easily do, to make gratitude a part of your every day life. I revisit to the book pretty much annually and then I usually give it away to a close friend, someone who I know will love it and benefit from the practices as much as I have.


This is a must have book for your life journey.




Simple examples of gratitude that you can take into your every day.


  • Thank you on the foot fall - take a walk and say THANK YOU repeatedly as you step - get it into your rhythm. I actually use this idea with running too - I often run and recite something positive - it works to change my day - let it change yours too!

  • Being grateful for my bills - I have written Thank You on all my bills as I pay them, almost as if the money was coming to me. In actual fact, it IS coming to you as it was probably for a service that you have received, like electricity or water - which is something to be thankful for.

  • If you find it hard to be grateful, really take it back to basics and be grateful for the air that you breathe, the clean water you have available and the nourishing food that you have. The choices you might have in your day, your clothes, your home, for people in your life who have touched your world and made it a better place - maybe family, friends, colleagues or teachers.

A strange fact, is that when we concentrate on gratitude for 17 seconds something special happens. At this point, the vibration has started to attract power, but it will not have much attraction power yet. Beyond the 17 seconds mark, the law of attraction will bring you more thoughts that match. The longer the focus, the stronger the power. If you manage to hold a pure thought for as little as 68 seconds, the vibration is powerful enough to begin its manifestation.


My message to you is, get grateful, give it a go, let it flow and see if it starts to come naturally, don't overthink it - just do it - put pen to paper, there is power in that too.
