Fearne Cotton is an incredibly talented lady. Throughout the past 2 years, she does not know, but she has carried me and probably millions of others through the darkest of times (COVID LOCKDOWN) with her amazing podcasts.

I was a little late to the party and probably only started listening a lot in 2019. But I had to train for a marathon, so I had hours and hours of airtime to listen to Fearne interviewing the most amazing interesting guests you could imagine. I have learned so many life gems, things that I have passed on to friends and family and some I have just kept for myself!

It would be hard to choose my favourite interviews, as they are all brilliant, some of the more memorable ones for me were the famous people like (to name but a few...): Gok Wan, Russell Brand, Gary Barlow, Dame Kelly Holmes and Dawn French.

I got so much from everyone, these people all talk openly and honestly about a difficult time in their life when they were vulnerable, there was a struggle, and they talk about how they got through it - this is powerful stuff.

I learned from the guy that used to be a monk, Jay Shetty, that the loneliness I was crying myself to sleep in, during COVID, after my divorce and after my child leaving for university, could be turned completely on its head - and become something to be grateful for - I could call it solitude, I could remember times when I craved a bit of quiet, I could use this space for painting and yoga - this is part of the reason that I am living the life I do today - Thanks Jay Thanks Fearne.

I learned from Rhonda Byrne that I could ask to "Show me a sign". We all want validation to know if we are really on the right path with things or not and here was an actual tangible way of finding out (see my other blogpost for this). Thanks Fearne Thanks Rhonda

Happy Place Podcasts have driven to and from London with me (a 2 hour journey) - i fit in two and a bit of music. They have padded the country roads and footpaths of Essex for miles and miles whilst I trained for the Marathon. I really feel like Fearne is a friend.
