I went to Fearne Cotton's Happy Place Festival in Tatton Park this year and it was amazing. A day of being around chilled out people like me. The atmosphere was so calm and, well... it was a really HAPPY PLACE! This festival has grown from the Happy Place Podcast (see my other post).
I went with a good friend, easy to find, parking was easy, a short walk to the fenced off area of the festival and the weather was sunny.
There was the option to book one workshop before the day, these got booked up pretty quickly and we booked something that was new to both of us - laughter yoga - I can honestly say it probably wasn't for us, though I am glad to have tried something new and I will get on and book my workshop a little earlier next time.
Thankfully, there were plenty of things to join in with that did not require booking.
We enjoyed leisurely making our way around the well layed out Teepees to see what was on offer. We took some time to write our aspirations on the wall, we meditated and did a little yoga, we enjoyed some really tasty veggie chillie and listened to a couple of amazing speakers, one of whom was Matt Willis being interviewed by the lovely Fearne Cotton herself. We watched some BOUNCE classes, browsed the stalls of clothes and beautiful YOGA cushions, inspirational books etc, and treated ourselves to some luxurious cream and when we were ready we made our way home.
I will be booking to go next year - probably in Chiswick.
